Djaïli Amadou Amal is a Cameroonian writer. Walaande, the art of sharing a husband, her first novel won the Prince Claus Foundation Prize. Munyal, the tears of patience, her third, won the first Orange Book Prize in Africa in 2019, the Pan-African Press Prize 2019, and the winner of the Prix Goncourt des Lycéens 2020, under the title Les Impatientes. Mistiriijo, her second novel, of rare beauty, denounces violence against women in the Sahel and carries all the finesse of Fulani culture.
